#MountEdenSummit #MtEdenDomain #OneTreeHill

A lovely sunny day well spent exploring awesome touristy places around Auckland @Mount Eden Summit, @Mt Eden Domain and @One Tree Hill

Time to show our beautiful city to the first time visitors from Wellington.

Ended the tour with yum lunch while watching Padmaavat. 🎑🍛đŸĨ˜đŸĨ—đŸšđŸŊī¸

#PappaRich

Enjoying delicious lunch at one of our favourites in Auckland @PappaRich Auckland CBD

Catching up for lunch with Stephen’s family after what looks like long gap and having a great time, reviving old times over well established lunch etiquette 😊đŸĨ—đŸ›đŸ˛đŸšđŸ¨

This restaurant is in our common fav list and there couldn’t better place to welcome their return from hols. Working out the deets and schedule for our shift of ‘work & fun’ from Wellington to Sydney!đŸĸđŸ›Ģ🌏đŸŊī¸

#Movenpick #Ben&Jerry’s

After a yum dinner, it is the time for an Ice cream @Movenpick

Getting into a Movenpick after more than 2 years. We had our favourite @Ben & Jerry’s for quite some time before they brought down their offering of eggless ice-creams to just one.

Happy to see lot of sorbet choices at one of the best ice-cream chains in Auckland.đŸĻ🍨🍋

#Avengers #InfinityWar #EventCinemas

A rainy day well planned and spent @Event Cinemas watching Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel managed to keep up with the expectations of comic lovers but for movie lovers, this was one of the least interesting Avengers movie –

  • No retrospective on what happened to the characters since the last Avengers movie, a practice followed in the past
  • Some characters didn’t appear for no known reason
  • Thor, despite being a God, appears completely powerless in opening scene and for most of the movie
  • The last 15 minutes send you into an unrecoverable shock – won’t spoil it for those who haven’t watched it
  • The feeling of having lost most of the expectations with which we used to go to an Avengers movie

Our first movie date of this year, an affirmation to Sunshine’s recovery.

#MaiThai

The very first lunch at Auckland CBD in this month @Mai Thai

Had anyone told a year ago that we will be enjoying lunch at one of my favourite restaurants in Auckland, we both may had laughed it off. And here we are, meeting in Auckland on such a beautiful day. đŸĨ˜đŸ˛đŸšđŸ›

It is moments like this one which confirm that the life is moving in the right direction.

#Auckland #PowerOutage #Storm

After 3 days without power, it was restored today afternoon. Hats off to the crews working during storm and rain.

This is the worst power outage both of us have ever been through and we don’t consider ourselves young anymore (just to give you an idea of years lived in 3 continents by each of us).

This storm must have been a fierce one. Now gearing up for the next storm arriving tonight. ⛈ī¸đŸŒ€đŸŒŠī¸

#Auckland #PowerOutage #Storm

It appears @Auckland still has to go through its due share of problems this year.

Here is how I was welcomed to the city on my way to home from the airport tonight –

Thanks to strong storms, there is still power outage in quarter of the city and at peak, more than 200,000 properties were left without power and it is not getting better anytime soon.

Not looking forward to the dark times but is there a choice? ⛈ī¸đŸŒ€đŸŒŠī¸
