#Journey #Life

This month of this year, I will be completing living equal number of years outside my hometown.

That brings back so many memories and fills up lot of confidence.

Just like another teen, after completing 12th grade, I had moved out to pursue grad, then for first job and so on. Since then, I have lived at 9 cities.

By our definition of living at a place:

You should have spent at least 3 months living at a place, spending good amount of time in knowing it well while either studying or working.

Wellington fell short of 30 days whereas Sydney and many others missed by 90 days or more.

Starting from my small hometown, here is the list –

  • Hoshiarpur
  • Patiala
  • Delhi
  • Bangalore
  • Mysore
  • Gurgaon
  • Chandigarh
  • San Jose
  • Auckland

Cannot guess how many more are scheduled during this journey called life.

No wonder, some of my favourite songs are based on journey and nostalgia –

Aao Milo Chalo

.

.

.

Musafir hoon yaaro

.

.

.

Yoon hi chala chal rahi, kitni haseen hai ye dunia

.

.

.

Jadon ambron barasea paani, mitti di khushboo aayi

.

.

.

Safar ka hi tha main, safar ka raha

.

.

Before I moved out for first time, I still remember one wise man advising me to travel the world and not to stick to one place for life. I sure have made at least that person feel proud!🌏🎉🎊🌎🛅🛩️

#ButterflyGarden

Enjoying the artificially preserved nature @Butterfly Garden

This is the first artificial garden of its kind that I had visited back in 2012 and still one of my favourites over this airport. Love viewing flying butterflies who perhaps don’t care where the garden is located at as long as they are able to have a natural habitat and a company of likewise. Another reason being able to enjoy one of my favourite fruits, pineapple spread around!

A good place to relax before or after a long journey 🦋🍍 🌲 🌸🏵️

#MountRuapehu

The beautiful view of @Mount Ruapehu

This is the last time I’ll be seeing this, now a familiar mount on my regular Wellington trips, in this year. So tried to take a clear shot.

You do not get to see Mount Ruapehu on every flight between Auckland and Wellington, sometime due to clouds or weather and other time due to different flight path, but this is one thing I look forward to every time boarding a flight on this route.

Another reason I am going to remember last flight of this year from Wellington is because of the pleasure of the company provided by Stephen and Anita – Stephen made sure to be in the same row which was very nice gesture of him and Anita, by accident but a pleasant one with her sitting exactly in front of me. An awesome way to end the travel this year with a memorable journey.

#SofaSet

It is the time to bid adieu to our beloved sofa set after five and half awesome years spent together. The very first years of settling down, job search, getting familiar with Auckland and the country, finding essentials of living, learning about a new culture, making friends, having lunches and dinners with family and friends and lot more all while sitting on these sofas.

Now waiting to welcome a new guest in our house. A new recliner set where I plonk myself and stretch my legs to rest horizontally while meeting, eating, learning, listening to music or watching the TV.

Here is to year 2017 – a year of flying, eating and shopping.
