Enjoying the first afternoon walk this year as part of 2017 shut down holidays @Manukau Domain
There is beautiful sculpture at the entrance @Opened Stone (Hiroaki Ueda) standing since 1971, made of Syenite stone and commissioned by the New Zealand society of Sculptors and Printers for the Auckland Centenary International Sculptors Symposium. Now it is part of Auckland Council Art Collection.
On continuing over the @Waikowhai Walkway for some distance, an awesome (unnamed) @Beach welcomes you on the sidewalk. It was pretty interesting to notice just ‘Beach’ on the direction board.
Further on this walkway, visited @Wattle Bay Reserve, @Wattle Bay Beach, @Wattle Bay Lookout and @Sylvania Esplanade Reserve.

Doing the last afternoon walk of this year as part of 2017 shut down holidays @Lynfield Cove Reserve
This reserve is pretty big and spread from one end of @Wairaki Stream Reserve all the way to @Himalaya Reserve.
It consists of @Lynfield Cove Beach, Gilleta Road Park and Gilleta Road Park Playground with @Waikowhai Walkway passing across it.

Extended this afternoon walk of 2017 shut down holidays to @Winstone Park and @Mount Roskill Summit
Another popular tourist spot @Mount Roskill suburb. The walkway from @Keith Hay Park extended all the way to here on to the other side of the road. The walk from the entrance of park to the summit is little uphill and every step taken in that direction is worth the beautiful views presented at the top.
The summit provides you with 360 degree view of Central Auckland and one can easily spot @Sky Tower, @One Tree Hill and @Mount Eden Summit

Spending another beautiful afternoon with another walk of 2017 shut down holidays @Keith Hay Park
This beautiful park is one of the most popular attractions @Mount Roskill suburb. In addition, it consists @Children’s playground, another @Playground and @Cameron Pool and Leisure.
You can easily spend a quality hour walking around this park.

The earlier walk in the day appeared short and so went out for this one. This reserve was even smaller than I thought and so, covered adjoining @French Bay and the beach on the way.

A beautiful beach serving as connector between Kevin Lynch walkway and Te Aro O Tiriwa walkway. Yours truly was able to cover both of them!
I am bookmarking these walks with ‘2017 shut down holidays’ because it may not be possible to do such long walks in 2018 once I start working and so was the case with 2017.

Spent a beautiful day at Stephen’s place enjoying the snacks and movies. Could not have thought of spending Boxing Day in a better way.
Now enjoying yum dinner @Manuka Restaurant
From the menu it gives a feeling of an Italian restaurant with wide variety of pizzas and pastas.
Despite the limited choice for vegetarians, the vegetarian preparation was delicious.
No wonder it is one of Stephen’s favourites.
