Finally it is time to fly back home from Middle of Middle Earth @Wellington International Airport

It has been a long tiring day including total wait of more than 2 hours at the airport from the time of our arrival. Only good that came out of it other than Koru Lounge stay was running into the colleagues at the airport.

Loving staying put in Koru Lounge on a day when flight is delayed by more than an hour @Wellington International Airport

Due to the heavy rains in Auckland, the plane we are supposed to board is running late from Auckland. Could not be more thankful to the timely arrival of gold airpoints card helping us enjoy this time. It is the second time in this year at this airport that the flight is delayed by more than an hour.

Last time it was because of the strong Southerly Winds in Wellington and that time also, Koru Lounge had come to the rescue – only time I used silver airpoints card voucher.

What an adventurous and tiring ride it was from Wellington on one of the worst days to fly in New Zealand. All flights were either delayed or cancelled due to stormy weather. Mine was delayed at multiple times, first by 30 minutes, then by 50 minutes, then by 70 minutes and finally by 90 minutes which meant total wait of almost 2.5 hours at the airport.
After landing @Auckland Airport at 7.30 PM, the plane was stalled for exactly 1 hour before we got the air bridge and finally made it to home at 9.30 PM in a freezing weather.
